We've been pretty much just seeing friends and going out for dinner on the weekend, and enjoying the long evenings when we can (and when we're not working)...and saving up energy for the guests planning to escape that Australian winter and visit us!
We had our first set through a week or so ago, when Claudia and Greg came through from Singapore - we spent the first few days wining and dining with some other Australians in London, and had a lovely Sunday in Greenwich. We picked up a picnic at the market, and spent the afternoon in the park between the maritime museum and the observatory (somewhere very close to the prime meridian, in fact) - and since the DLR was down we actually walked UNDER the Thames in a 100 year old tunnel...
The docklands have been busy the last few weekends, too, with a Brazilian Navy boat as long as our apartment building parked 2 doors down for the past week, and a tall ship joining it this weekend...very cool to see them cruising past...
