A not so quiet weekend in London......

Last weekend was supposed to be a quiet one, just a couple of days to get settled into our new place, get unpacked, get the shopping done and have Jane and Ben (friends from Sydney) over for brunch on Sunday…until the phone started ringing…

First was Andrew, one of Sarah’s colleagues, inviting us over for dinner on Saturday – we got to head out in Notting Hill and discover some really cool restaurants in Notting Hill and see his awesomely set up place (it certainly got me all inspired to hook up a decent IT setup).

Next was Matt Wysel (see the Manchester entry) as Matt and Jo were in London for the weekend and needed somewhere to stay – so we had our first house guests and were lucky to be able to hang out with the guys for two weekends in a row.

Sunday we had Jane and Ben over as originally planned for a delicious brunch, and they showed us photos of their recent trip to Krakow and Prague – we just added two more places to our list of cities to visit.

I'm not sure that it quite qualified as a lazy weekend, but it was certainly fun – it makes you feel like you’re really living in a city (rather than just being a visitor) when your weekend can end up totally impromptu and still be really fun!
