Notting Hill Markets

Saturday morning we went to a pub in Notting Hill to watch the Wallabies beat the All Blacks (against all expectations). We spent the afternoon at Portobello Road Markets in Notting Hill, checking out the local scene. It is essentially a series of markets in one long strip, starting at the top of the hill with Antiques (we thought of you, Jessie), down through new clothes and accessories, fresh fruit and vege, some really yummy looking cooked food and then assorted bric-a-brac (the flea market).

Definitely worth checking out, although hopefully you will have better luck than we did spotting celebrities (Notting Hill is apparently flooded with them) - you probably need to know what they look like to spot them, though, so that counts me out...

I'm so glad that I came to visit you earlier in the year. If it were any later you would be saying 'sorry bec, we've realy had enough of visitors and are desparte for some time to ourselves'.
