Its SNOWING!!!

We just thought we'd fill you in on the weather conditions in London at the moment - we have snow which is well over ankle deep, and it is still falling lightly. Apparently it is the most snow in 20 years, and the public transport ground to a halt today (oh, the joys of being able to walk to work - I was the only person on my floor by 4:30 because the dozen or so people who had made it in had to leave to make sure that they didn't get stranded)

We could easily have gone to Greenwich park to go sledding down the main hill (pesky work again :)) and as you can see, some other people have taken advantage of the conditions to build a snowman.

I'm sure that we'll be sick of it soon enough but while it lasts it is really exciting to have proper snow around the house - first time we've ever seen it anywhere but a ski resort...
